Duties
Assistant Operations Officers (Aviation Administration) are mainly deployed on assisting Operations Officers in performing duties related to –
(a) administrative and regulatory duties associated with licensing of aerodromes, aviation safety and security, heliport development, environmental management, air services and air navigation services;
(b) administrative duties related to international cooperation and training matters;
(c) provision of technical support to the planning of aviation related facilities;
(d) inspection and monitoring of flight and ground operations of airline operators; and
(e) assessment of applications for flight crew licenses and administration of related examinations.
(Note: May be required to work irregular hours)
職責
助理民航事務主任(民航行政管理)主要負責協助民航事務主任執行以下職務：
(a) 與機場牌照、航空安全及保安、直升機場發展、環境管理、航空服務和空中導航服務有關的行政及規管職務；
(b) 與國際合作和培訓事宜有關的行政職務；
(c) 就航空相關設施的規劃提供技術支援；
(d) 視察和監察航空公司的空勤及地勤運作；以及
(e) 審核空勤人員執照的申請和負責相關考試的行政工作。
(註: 可能須不定時工作。)
Terms of appointment
A new recruit will normally be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.

How to apply
Applicants must apply online through the G.F. 340 Online Application System of the Civil Service Bureau (https://www.csb.gov.hk) not later than 11 September 2026 (Friday) 11:59 p.m. Hong Kong Time.
Applications which are incomplete or submitted in person, by post, by fax or by e-mail will not be accepted.
Candidates must state clearly results of all the subjects obtained in the public examinations; details of bachelor degree obtained or to be obtained (e.g. major subjects and class and division of honors obtained); and results in the UC, UE (i.e. Level 2 or 1) and AT of the CRE, as appropriate, on the applications or a separate sheet attached to their applications.
Applicants are encouraged to provide their e-mail addresses on the applications. Selected candidates are required to sit for a written examination to be held tentatively in December 2026. Those who are invited to attend the written examination will normally receive an invitation in November 2026. Candidates who are further selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about twelve weeks from the date of the written examination. Those who are not invited for written examination/interview may assume that their applications are unsuccessful. For enquiries, please call the telephone number indicated.

职位要求
- Candidates should have –
- (a) a Bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent [See Note (1)];
- (b) a pass result in the Aptitude Test (“AT”) in the Common Recruitment Examination (“CRE”) [See Note (2)];
- (c) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 result in Use of English (“UE”) paper and Level 1 result in Use of Chinese (“UC”) paper in the CRE, or equivalent [See Note (2)] and;
- (d) a pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (“BLNST”) [See Note (3)].
