聘用條款
獲取錄者將按非公務員條款受聘,為期三年,續約與否由政府全權決定。獲取錄者並非公務員,不會享有獲調派、晉升或轉職至公務員職位的資格。
福利
本職位的基本入職薪金為每月198,720元。整套薪酬福利條件包括約滿酬金、例假連度假旅費津貼、以非實報實銷現金津貼形式提供的房屋福利(須視乎獲取錄者是否符合提供該等福利相關條文所列明的申領準則),以及醫療保險計劃涵蓋的醫療福利和牙科保險計劃涵蓋的牙科福利。獲取錄者須根據《強制性公積金計劃條例》(第485章)的條款,參加一個強制性公積金(強積金)計劃並作出僱員供款。在圓滿履行合約後,可獲發約滿酬金。約滿酬金加上政府向強積金計劃作出的供款,相當於其在合約期間所得底薪總額的15%。
持有香港以外學術機構所頒授學歷的申請人,請提供有關學術機構所簽發的文憑/證書、成績單及列明有關課程的授課形式(例如全日制/兼讀制、在當地院校上課/遙距授課等)的證明文件副本。申請人也應盡可能提供所有其他有關的學歷證明文件副本,以便進行學歷評審的工作。持有本地學歷的申請人,則須提供列明其修讀學位課程時主修和副修科目及/或相關科目訓練的證明文件副本。申請人亦須述明所具備的相關工作經驗及性質。
逾期遞交的申請、資料不全(包括沒有夾附上述所需文件)或未經上述途徑遞交的申請,概不受理。
申請人如獲選參加面試,通常會在截止申請日期後約六至八個星期內收到通知。如申請人未獲邀參加面試,則可視作經已落選。由於邀請信或提供補充資料之要求將以電郵方式寄出,申請人須確保申請表格內所提供的電郵地址正確無誤。

職責
課程發展處總監隸屬教育局常任秘書長及教育局副秘書長,其主要職務和職責如下:
(a) 督導中小學課程各學習領域及科目,包括語文教育、體藝教育、個人、社會及人文教育、高中公民與社會發展科和應用學習;以及跨學科範疇,如價值觀教育、國民教育(包括愛國主義教育、國家安全教育、《憲法》與《基本法》教育)和數字教育的發展、檢視及優化工作;
(b) 擔任課程發展議會副主席,協同創新科技教育分部督導及指示課程發展處及相關科組為議會和其轄下委員會提供秘書處服務,以推動幼稚園、中小學課程發展及促進各學習階段的銜接;
(c) 就列於上述(a)項的課程領域,督導其課程支援及推行策略的制定、統籌及監察,包括提供課程指引、舉辦教師培訓、編制及審訂學與教資源,以及組織全港性學生學習活動;
(d) 與教育局內外不同持份者溝通協作,並進行資料蒐集以回饋及優化課程發展;
(e) 領導課程發展處與香港考試及評核局合作,提升學校的評估素養,確保香港中學文憑考試與高中課程協調;以及
(f) 執行上級指派的其他職務。

Duties
Reporting to the Permanent Secretary for Education, through Deputy Secretary for Education, the Chief Executive, Curriculum Development Institute has the following major duties and responsibilities –
(a) to steer the development, review and optimisation of primary and secondary school curriculum of key learning areas and subjects, including Language Education, Physical Education, Arts Education, Personal, Humanities and Social Education, senior secondary Citizenship and Social Development, and Applied Learning; as well as cross-curricular areas, including Values Education, National Education (including Patriotic Education, National Security Education, the Constitution and Basic Law Education), and Digital Education;
(b) to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Curriculum Development Council, and in collaboration with the Innovation Technology Education Division, steer and direct the Curriculum Development Institute (CDI) and relevant Sections in providing secretariat services to the Council and its committees for promoting curriculum development in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and facilitating the interface between different learning stages;
(c) to supervise the formulation, co-ordination and monitoring of the curriculum support and implementation strategies for the curriculum realms listed in (a) above, including providing curriculum guidelines, organising teacher training, compiling and reviewing learning and teaching resources, and organising territorial-wide student learning activities;
(d) to communicate and collaborate with different stakeholders within and outside the Education Bureau and to conduct data collection for informing and optimising curriculum development;
(e) to lead CDI to collaborate with the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority to enhance the assessment literacy of schools and ensure the alignment of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination with the senior secondary curriculum; and
(f) to perform other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Terms of appointment
The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service terms for three years, which is renewable at the Government's discretion. The appointee is not a civil servant and will not be eligible for posting, promotion or transfer to any posts in the Civil Service.
Benefits
The basic entry salary is $198,720 per month. The remuneration package includes an end-of-agreement gratuity, vacation leave with leave passage allowance, housing benefits in the form of non-accountable cash allowance (subject to the meeting of the eligibility criteria as stipulated in the regulations relating to the provision of such benefits), medical and dental benefits covered by medical insurance scheme and dental insurance scheme respectively. He/she will be subject to the provisions of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485) and will be required to make employee's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme. Upon satisfactory completion of the agreement, the appointee will be eligible for an end-of-agreement gratuity which, when added together with the Government's contribution to the MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary of the position drawn during the agreement period.

Candidates holding qualifications obtained from academic institutions outside Hong Kong should provide copies of diplomas/certificates, transcripts of studies and official documents issued by the relevant academic institutions stating the mode of delivery (e.g. full-time/part-time, on campus/distance learning, etc.) of the study programmes. To facilitate the assessment of the qualifications, candidates should provide the supporting documents as mentioned above for all other relevant qualifications obtained as far as possible. Candidates holding local qualifications should provide copies of the documents stating the major and minor subjects studied in their degree courses and/or relevant subject training. Candidates should also state the nature and relevancy of the experience.
Applications which are late, incomplete (including without the required documents as stated above) or submitted by means other than those stated above will NOT be processed.
Candidates who are selected for interview will normally receive an invitation in about six to eight weeks from the closing date of applications.
